Yes, it is. The Rajiv being that IIMs don't consist only CAT scores for admission, they also look at your profile, which includes tenth and twelfth marks, work experience, etc.
Even the leads to only an interview call, post which you need to Crack the interview and HD (if there)

Whenever we choose any stream for any course keep these things in mind:
1. Is that matching with our interest or we are just taking because of our parents or friends pressure?
2. Right now and most importantly, after 5 years what will be the availability of jobs with that course or demand in global or home market?
3. The cost of expense in that course.
4. Good institutions for that stream.
5. Need for higher degrees or specialisation after that course.

IT (Information Technology) is a growing field, in India, and is looked upon, as one of the industries to provide jobs. A science student, interested in joining the IT bandwagon is usually confused between many courses on offer at the undergraduate level and might end up joining a course which might not be as beneficial as some other course.
B.Sc (Computer Science)
The B.Sc (CS) course mainly focuses on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing, rather than teaching specific technologies that may quickly become outdated. The course prepares you for higher education.

BBA would be the right choice. You can do it in India from an Indian University or a foreign University. Or, you can do a 4 year Integrated BBA + MBA Degree from a Global University and save one year.

After pursuing 12th, you can do graduation along with preparation for CS, CA and in the mean time if you are interested in government job, you can try for competitive exams for bank.
If you feel that private jobs are remarkable, you can also change your field of interest by graduating in computers as BCA and MCA after that to work in a good private firm.
