Dear Tanuj, With 120 marks in CMAT Feb. 2015, I would say that your chances to get admission in B.K. School Of Business Management in Maritime are 90% this time. You'll have to secure the rank 400 In Gujarat. ( which you should according to the result of previous year. ) The only reason that I am saying 90% is because AICTE doesn't declare the state ranks & you'll be selected in B.K. based on that. But with your score, I don't see any issues with that.
Cut-Off rank of previous year Open Category - Gujarat Rank 420 SC Category - Gujarat Rank 930. According to last year's paper, you can secure the Rank 420 if you score around 100 marks out of 400.

Finance was better in ibs mumbai and it was even hailed as better than ibs hyderabad and was called as financial hub,but this year marketing placements are better than that of finance and in current batch the batch strength of marketing is double than that of finance
Highest package of marketing abroad is 15 lacs while the same for finance this year was 12 lacs
In india it was 7.7 & 9 lacs respectively.
The avg. Package is almost similar at around 4 lacs p.a so i would say that both are par.
Personally i would also suggest that go for what you like and not what is best becouse companies come for both specialization and if you will do what you like then you will love the job even if you are less paid and will hate the same even if you are earning more.
You still have 1 year to decide and specially after SIP you will be sure of what u want to do.

Sushant, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. If you are working professional so please go for distance learning MBA. You might not feel comfortable to go for regular class. I will give you an example. Out of two interested students for education, One person go to distance learning mba and second person go to regular MBA. after completion of the course they both are searching for new job. Company will give first preference to first person. Why? Because he has complete his MBA with 2 Years of experience because he was gaining experience while studying through distance mode. Company will prefer to take the risk on experience holder. where as the second person is counted as a fresher so company give first chance to experienced professional. i suggest you two institutes. IIMT STUDIES and IGNOU.
