Hi,
Decide where you want to study. Abroad is a generic term. Different countries have different requirements and different deadlines and intakes. Depending on where you want to study you have to prepare for entrance exams like SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, etc. The application process must ideally start a year ahead of the intakes. Start researching on these factors first, visit university websites, email them for queries and prepare accordingly. See here:

Hi,
Both PGDM and MBA are similar degrees with nomenclature difference. E.g. PGDM of IIMs and MBA from FMS DU are equally good and have similar market acceptance. You are advised to select between both MBA and PGDM based on B-School ranking not the name of the degree.
The main difference between MBA and PGDM is that MBA is a degree and is offered by universities, whereas, PGDM is a post-graduate diploma offered by AICTE approved institutes.
Indian universities come under the University Grants Commission (UGC) and can, therefore, award degrees like the MBA degree, also known as MMS in Mumbai. Universities follow the UGC format for course

Hello,
Thank you for asking the question.
No, hostel fees is not included in Rs. 4.50 lakhs. It is your course or tuition fee. Hostel fee would be separate. However, there are some perks for IIMHRD students included in the fees. That you can know by talking to the admissions department.
And, as far as placement is concerned, if the college does not provide any placement, the college is of no use. Of course, the college will provide enough chances for you to get placed. Whichever UG course you pursue doesn't matter, as you want to appear for UPSC. Any UG pass out can appear for civil service examination. A person in my city was a B.Tech graduate and cleared preliminary and mains in one attempt. When he was asked the reason of his success, he told that he solved the previous year's question papers of UPSC and read the current affairs of India everyday.
