Hi,
It wont be possible to give you the exact details as the pattern keeps on changing, but usually the paper is aptitude based. Starting with media I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across. You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it. Also if possible try and read few books on GK and Current affairs, if you want you can refer to Manorama year Book which is a nice book for GK and Current affairs. Apart from all these you also have to practice a lot on writing articles because they might give you any topic to write or also a picture that you need describe so you need to write it in a creative manner and for that you need to think out of the box. Other than these you may also prepare on reading comprehension, grammar, etc.

Yes, any Indian Citizen with following qualification is eligible
1. Qualifying Examinations
A candidate seeking admission to first MBBS course:
a) Should have passed two-year Pre-university examination conducted by the Department of Pre-university Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.

b) Should have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by State Governments/Central Government, and recognized as equivalent to two-year Pre-university examination by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS)/Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.

c) Should have passed Intermediate examination in Science of an Indian university/Board/Council or other recognized examining bodies, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English

Hi Minakshi,
As PhD is a research based programme which would require you to work under the professors and be in continues touch with them so, it becomes difficult to do such a program through correspondence and that is the reason why, there are not many Universities which provide PhD through Distance education. Another thing which I would like to add here is that some time back UGC had banned degrees like M.Phil & PhD through correspondence, so it would be better that you plan PhD through regular
However, few of the Universities which may give you PhD through Distance Education are:
IGNOU
Kota Open University
Pondicherry University
YCMOU
I would again stress upon the fact that it would not be worth to join a correspondence PhD still if you want to go ahead do confirm the facts before you join.
