Yes, Telecom in India is still miles away from reaching saturation point. Large number of developments are taking place worldwide and it's bound to have impact in Indian market. There are large number of Placements opportunities available today and are expected to be available in future too. In view of the foregoing, I would surely endorse your thoughts of going for PG in Telecom. Best wishes to you.

As far as I know for mechanical engineering, you need to consider IIITDM (Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing). IIITDM Jabalpur is the best option. IIITDM Kanchipuram is decent and IIITDM Kurnool is quite new, so can't say anything about that college. If you really want Mechanical Engineering, you should go for NITs or IITs. They are the best colleges for that.

Admission to undergraduate courses in Central Universities will henceforth be solely based on the CUET score, and Class 12 Board marks will not carry any weightage. The universities can, at best, use the Board exam marks as an eligibility criterion only. So you need to appear in CUET conducted in July for getting admission to UoH.
