The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your profession or stream is your own interests and career aspiration, so if you are looking for Management as a career then you should go ahead and complete your MBA, but I would like to add here that if you are planning for your MBA it should be a full time programme that too from a good institute which should have a market value.

Backend jobs generally don't have very high future prospects so in case you can and have a knack for further studies, you should opt for a degree programme, may be an MBA from a full time Institute or some other degree programme from your own field.

You have not mentioned about your Professional qualification, if you want to make a career in Teaching then you should opt for qualifications related to teaching like M.Ed or M.Phil or appear for NET examination or do PhD. MBA would only be helpful in case you want to make Management as a career.

If you are looking for preparation of civil service Examination advisable would be that you should opt for coaching as an Institute can give you the right guidance for such Examinations as in how you should improve your GK, what books you should follow, and you will also get the examination atmosphere. However, in case you are planning to do self-study you can refer to NCERT books, GK Books like competition success review etc. read news paper on daily basis. Such exercise will help you in enhancing your GK.

Even if you have missed one year you can always apply in the next year, yes you need to have a right explanation as to why you have lost one year and what were you doing in that one year. If you don't want to do it through regular Institute or you don't get admission in a regular programme then you can also opt for a correspondence programme through, Universities like IGNOU, Symbiosis etc.

If you wish to take up medicine, dentistry, agricultural science, dairy science or biological sciences (biochemistry, biotechnology), the combination should be Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
If you are not interested in pursuing medical further, you may go for engineering courses, such as civil, mechanical, electronics, but for that you should have combination of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
