PESSAT: As part of the admissions process PESSAT is taken by all students who are applying for PES University programs.
The entrance test will be of online mode and if students need to get into PES UNIVERSITY, they must take up the PESSAT (entrance test). This applies to all the courses offered at our university.
Eligibility for BTech: In order to appear for PESSAT, the candidate should have atleast 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th Std or equivalent.
Important Dates
For BTech:
April 5: Last date to register, for students outside Bengaluru
April 19: Last date to register, for students in Bengaluru
April 23, 2015: Slot bookings
May 2 to May 20: Engineering entrance exam
May 2015: PESSAT Results
June 2015: PESSAT First Round Counseling
July 2015: PESSAT Second Round Counseling
For All other courses:
November 3, 2014: Start of PESSAT 2015 online registrations
June 2015: Last date of Online Registrations
February 2, 2015: Slot bookings
February 4, 2015 - June 2015: PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT 2015)
PESSAT Results: 1 Week after taking the test
For all courses other than BTech candidates can take the test on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays by booking their slots online.
The test centre for all courses other than BTech will only be at PES University, Bangalore.

MMS is a degree course and guidelines and regulations as per university of Mumbai ( refer to DTE website for more details ). MMS course selection is done by DTE through CAP rounds on basis of test scores only. However. PGDM is an AICTE approved diploma programme which values the test score as well as your performance in GDPI conducted by the college. I have mentioned the GDPI process in detail below for your easy reference. However, i would like to inform you that irrespective of your course MMS & PGDM students sit together for placements. SIESCOMS believes in the overall personality while selecting students considering their past academic records, work experience, if any, among others. There is no prescribed minimum cut off score for any test. However, due weightage is given to the test scores. For this year's admission 20 percent weightage will be given to the test score. 1. a) Technical Interview: These interviews test your basic knowledge and look into your overall understanding.

b) Competency based In Interview: Competency or behavioral interviews are based on the idea that past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. The interviewer will want specific examples of when and how you demonstrated particular behaviors.

Ram, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world & hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. Revathy,you can go for NIFT or Pearl Academy. However, do read a little more about the field of design before you move ahead. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design & Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, & of course Game Studios. At this stage, you may want to understand the creative world and the careers it offers. There are many careers for the creative/ artistic people. Interiors, textile as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills and color sense. Journalism also is at this level and relies on your language skills & knowledge of history and current affairs. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design, jewellery design, Acting, & Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching & imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills & imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this.
