Hi Tarun,
If you are keen to pursue a career in engineering as specified by you, it is important to clear your 12th first with Science + Maths as your subjects and then apply to institutes for engg, although admissions shall take place on the basis of qualifying for the entrance.
Other than this if you are unable to clear your 12th then opt for the diploma in engineering and after this you can opt for the Bachelors in engineering course.
