Hi Atul,
The eligibility criteria varies widely, getting into a top college in India will be next to impossible since the cut-offs are high however it depends on what you want to study. Certain courses require entrance exams like CET etc., if you do really well in these tests you do have a chance. Try not to secure less than 60% for better outcome.

Are you a fresher? I mean class 12th appearing student. If yes, I will suggest you to drop a year and compete again if you want to pursue engineering. If you are interested in any other field whatever it is, go for that.

If you are looking for 2 years' MBA or PGDM than you have to clear CAT/ other MBA entrance exam. But it's better to go for 1-year executive MBA. You need to write GMAT/GRE. A good score in GMAT will get you into Indian as well as foreign institutes. ISB-Hyderabad is best for executive MBA.

Hi Dolly!
There's a lot of difference between these two institutions. St. Xavier's college is just a college, and St. Xavier University is a university. There's a lot of difference between a college and a university. St. Xavier's college still offers degrees under the name of Calcutta University and will continue to do so for the upcoming three years at least. Hi Ankita,
You can consider doing your B.Sc now or look for options abroad. Too long a gap will not be a good idea. Contact the colleges directly regarding the admission requirements.
