Hi Mithun, courses in UK are also 1 year in duration. So it may not make much of a difference, if the course is intensive and delivers what is required by the student. But you should keep in mind the reputation of the college or university you go to. If you insist on going to an institute go for a govt. one and not private.
If the college or univ you go to has a good reputation, you will have no trouble finding job for yourself.

To get into IIT for M.Tech programme you have to write entrance Examination i.e. GATE and you have to score a percentile of more than 95 to get admitted in top 5 IITs. Similarly, for admission to MS programme in US, you have to write GRE and with your GRE score you have to apply to various University and once you are selected, you will be informed by the respective University.

Both the Univ are world class and are local universities in Singapore. Placements opportunities after studying at these Universities are very good.
