To join the science stream, you should have done the respective subject at XII the standard. Since, you have not done science , so at best you can join BA-Mathematics. otherwise economics is also very good field, so why don't you think to pursue higher education with economics as career will be very rewarding for the deserving candidates.

Few of the things you should keep in mind before getting into any Institute are:
1)First and foremost the recognition of the Institute (the institute must be recognized by UGC or AICTE)
2)Secondly the course curriculum and the study material
3)The infrastructure
4)The Faculty background.
5)Lastly, Placement and Ranking.
