Hi Nimish, before you send in your application for a UG course to Germany. Take a look at the info below.
Indian class 12 as such is not considered equivalent with German class 12. So Indian students are eligible to apply for a bachelor programme if they fulfill one of the following criteria:
I. Successfully completing the first year of a bachelor programme from a recognized university in India in the relevant subject field.
II. Successfully clearing the IIT Joint Entrance Examination for admission to courses in technology and natural sciences.
III. Passing the qualification assessment examination in Germany, called Feststellungspruefung
If you are able to fulfil one of the criteria above, then you can proceed with the details given by Suryap.

Few of the things you should keep in mind before getting into any Institute are:
1)First and foremost the recognition of the Institute (the institute must be recognized by UGC or AICTE)
2)Secondly the course curriculum and the study material
3)The infrastructure
4)The Faculty background.
5)Lastly, Placement and Ranking.
I would also like to suggest that if possible you should visit the Institute campus in which you are planning to enroll and try and talk to the faculty members of your course and the current batch students which will give a clear picture about the Institute. Also try and get few of the alumnae contacts. In case UTM fits the bill go ahead.
