A course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a degree but a license course and only those institutes approved by the DGCA can impart training in this subject.
2)
Eligibility :
A student from the Science stream with a minimum of 50% (some institutes need 60%) in class 12th is eligible for a 3 year certificate course on aircraft maintenance engineering conducted by training schools approved by the DGCA.

-School of Aviation Science and Technology
-Delhi Flying Club, Delhi
-Indian Institute of Aeronautical engineering, Dehradun
-Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology, Chennai and many others

After the successful completion of AME course you can appear and qualify for AMAeSI (Associate Membership of Aeronautical Society of India) which is fully recognized by Government of India/ State Government/ Union Public Service Commission/ GATE for MTech admission/ Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd/ Indian Airlines/ Air India/ BHEL/ DRDO/ NAL/ IAF/ Coast Guard/ Airline Industries/ Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi/ Madras Institute of Technology as equivalent to BE/ BTech (Aeronautical Engineering).
