Central Bureau of Investigation every year conducted by UPSC i.e Union Public Service Commission.
It is basically called CGL exam i.e Combined Graduate level examination.
It held once a year for the post of Sub inspector for the police in CBI.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates have to fulfill certain criteria's for applying to this department. The candidates should have the basic qualification to get in to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is as follows –
-The candidates should be graduates in any discipline. The candidates should have taken the graduation from an institution which is recognized and also reputed in all respects.
-The candidate's eligibility criteria's will also vary according to the type of posts for which one is applying to.
-The candidates should be between 20 to 27 years of Age.
-There is an age relaxation in case of the SC/ST candidates which is 5 years and for OBC candidates it is 3 years.
PART 1- written examination(400 marks)
> general test
> general intelligence & reasoning
> general awareness
> numerical ability
PART 2 (Personality test)(100 marks)
> English language
> language comprehension
> communication/writing
> ability test

It will be conducted in three Tiers. Written exam is basically OMC i.e objective multiple choice type and followed by Interview or skill test. If you are opting for CPO's then you have to undergo for PET i.e Physical Endurance Test. The duration of Tier 1 is 2 hours. Areas included general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, numerical ability and English Comprehension.
