Pass out in 12th is a basic qualification required to pursue JBT course. Admission to the course depends on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Application forms can be collected either from the administrative office or web portal of the concerned institute. From the pool of received applications, candidates are short listed on the basis of their marks.
Few colleges or universities offer admission on the basis of entrance tests. Institutes under Himachal Pradesh Board of Education, offer admission to JBT course on the basis of one common entrance test, JBT CET. Hindi, English, Numerical Ability and General Awareness form the syllabus of JBT CET. There will be a total of 100 questions that must be answered with in 120 minutes. The test is carried out as a single paper having multiple choice questions.
Those who qualify the test can obtain admission in preferred districts of Himachal Pradesh (subject to the availability of seats). Application fee for attending the test is Rs. 200/- which can be payable in the form of Demand Draft. After making fee payment, application forms can be collected from the official website of HP board of education. Filled up application forms must be sent to the mentioned address with necessary documents such as demand draft, two self addressed envelopes, admit card (in duplicate), etc.

First of all you should know what you are approaching, embedded systems is loads of programming, where 128 mb is still lots of RAM in that universe of embedded programming. So if you are Interested in loads of coding where you want your software to affect your physical things and whats happening at the bottom of the architecture then you are at the right place, so get prepared. First check out that there are many good hobbyist embedded platforms available now (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Particle, etc). They have lots of great communities to participate in and learn from. So you get the idea of whats going on. Now, on to your question, after BCA you will only have some programming skills, so its better you start working besides doing your course BCA whenever you get time. You can start with communities which I have mentioned above as they will give you a clear picture.

4) Choose your Micro Controller and tool chain, so now you have all the fundamentals and you are ready to code. If you are interested in all of the above, you are on right track. If all of the above doesn't match with your interest, get a normal professional training after BCA like a training in SAP/Networking/JAVA.

Coaching preference- While T.I.M.E without doubt has more number of students enrolled in the country yet there are so many regions where it has to grow and create proper infrastructure and hire experience teacher.
T.I.M.E is more popular in South India while in places like Delhi, Jharkhand, Career launcher takes the cake.
T.I.M.E at Ranchi is relatively a fledgling in comparison to Career Launcher. From what I know, very few students are enrolled in it giving you very little competition and exposure.
