Hello Manthan,
As per me, you should appear for individual state examinations (OJEE in Odisha, EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, ComedK in Karnataka etc.). These exams also guarantee you good colleges and serve as a backup.
More the entrance examinations you appear for, the more the options you will have for choosing colleges.

100% placement does not make any sense without job stability or if you are in 'bulk hire and fire profile'. So check after placement job stability of alumni on LinkedIn, also check average in hand salary( don't rush behind the CTC annual package which is not in hand).

If you are just doing your schooling these days, and want to become a lawyer in India, that's a good thing. You have already made your mind for it. But next to it, you should also plan which degrees you need to have. Students of Science, commerce or arts stream can apply for a Bachelors degree in law, and then do Masters to become a lawyer. It would be good if you are pursuing your school with commerce stream. That helps. Also, you should start exploring more about different divisions of law you want to excel in. Make a career plan for yourself and then follow it. MUIT Noida - http://muitnoida.edu.in/ is a good college option for you.

Yes, because you will have only limited attempts to appear for the exam and if you don't fare well in UPSC then you have various other options like SSC-CGL, PSC, bank exams which are far easy when compared to UPSC.
