Candidates applying for (B.Tech 4 years) Course should fulfill the following criteria.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 science examination on or before 2011-2012 or appearing in 10+2 examination in 2011 are only eligible to apply for B.Tech (Regular) course of the University. Should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling / college.
A Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Age Limit : No age limit for taking admission as per the Government of Orissa norms. Centurion University will not be responsible for any regulation of service where such requirement for age exists. Entrance test OJEE, CUTM, AIEEE or any other National Level Entrance Test.

The civil service examination is conducted by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION)every year. The examination has three stages i.e.,
1)Preliminary examination(normally conducted during the second half of may)
2)Main examination (normally conducted during the month of oct/nov,those who are selected in preliminary are only eligible for main examination)
3)Interview(those who are selected in main examination will be eligible for interview)

Well I am not very clear with your requirement as you have not mentioned what streamline you belong to. However, I may suggest you with following steps:-
*Clear you basic concepts
*Work on you vocabulary
*Develop the habit of reading
*Practice a lot
*Once you know your strengths and weaknesses, go for some full-length tests. Observe how you improve your score with each passing test.
*Revise
There are some things that you should bear in mind before you appear for the exams. They are:
*Read your notes and practice writing it down everyday.
*First tackle the hard part and then get to the easy part. You will be able to cover all their portions this way.
*Studying sample papers of the preceding years will help you stay informed about the syllabus as well as the latest changes in the question pattern.
*Always be prepared to work hard and put up a systematic study plan

Following are some related points to keep in mind before selecting any institute,
THE All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which was set up to regulate, monitor, plan and coordinate the technical education system in the country, has cautioned students to be wary of distance education institutions offering programmes in the open and distance learning (ODL) mode, which do not follow the stipulated norms and standards set by the joint committee of AICTE, University Grants Commission (UGC) and Distance Education Council (DEC).
For any programme run under ODL mode by deemed universities and others, an approval by UGC-AICTE-DEC Joint Committee is mandatory. Also note that Ministry of HRD has already announced (Gazette No. 44/March 1995) that all the qualifications awarded through Distance Education by the Universities are automatically recognised for the purpose of employment in central government offices and for all purposes of higher education, provided it has been approved by DEC.

Hi Subbu, India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
UPSC conducts civil services examination every year in the month of May and June and its main exam is in the month of December. The notification for this exam comes out in the month of January end.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1)A candidate should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
2)A candidate in his final year is also eligible for the civil services exam. (IPS, IFS, IAS)
3)A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
4)A candidate must be an indian citizen.
To crack the exam, the preparation requires the right approach along with the right study materials and strategy. The preparation requires focused study rather than plain hard work.
You can read guide books like General Studies Manual, Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth, Ancient History by D.D.Kausambi’s, R.S.Agarwal [Arithmetic], Wren & Martin [English Grammar], Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Arun Sharma, etc. You may even study journals and even watch television for important news reports. Reading English newspapers will also help the students to get a good hold on the English language. Always keep the syllabus and past five years question papers.
