It depends on your own flair and the kind of career you would want for yourself. It also depdneds upo nwhether you want to make a career as an Engineer or switch to other field later ( such as opting for MBA or go in the Marketing field). Automobile field is more focused than electrical field.

It is necessary to get 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as an aggregate.You'll get then you should go for Any type of Engg Entrance Examination or for management quota in private/govt engg colgs.But for the case of IIT .you have to more than secure 60% marks to sit for the engg entrance exam.That's all.Best Of Luck .Take care.
