The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your specialization is your own interests and career aspirations. Just you brief you further: Finance is a career for people generally interested in quantitative skills and who would like to do a lot of planning, managing of resources etc. Operation is for people inclined towards production management. Information systems- This career path is for engineers and technical graduates or the people who want to get into analytical fields like Business Analysis or project management etc.
However, as you are from engineering background, you can choose specializations such as Operations, Finance & IT/IS. The opinion on choosing a specialization may vary from person to person, according to me as Operations & Finance are more traditional specializations; they are more acceptable in the job market. Moreover, these specializations are huge and you can find job in any domain with any of the two specializations, whereas IT is a new domain and still has to gain the kind of market value, finance or operations have.

Hi Atul,
If you are considering to go for MBA degree then opt for pursuing it through the regular mode. There are many institutes in India offering several Management courses and to get admission to a good institute, one requires to write and qualify entrances as required by the institutes in particular to your interest.
Other than the regular MBA, there is an option of going for the distance/ correspondence MBA and the admission to the course is direct instead of clearing any entrances.
It is always advised to opt for the regular program as the same shall hold better career prospects and opportunities.

hi Dr.shukla its very proud thing that you are encouraging your daughter to become an astronaut.to become an astronaut she should score well in maths and physics in 12th standard and then she should apply for aeronautical engineering.if you want to encourage her more in this aspect buy and give her a biography of kalpana chawla a born indian american how she chased her dream.since she was village girl.she made everything possible with her efforts,to study aeronautical engineering and to become a astronaut.she as to undergo an ardous training,so she should be physically fit .if she is very much interested in that then she wont feel that pain.hope we will surely have a bold astronaut in the future .go ahead!

As you have got a pretty low score on MAT and your graduation percentage is also quite low, it seems difficult to get into a good B-School with these scores. Advisable would be that you go for some other profession of your choice rather than getting into MBA, but if you are very keen on getting into an MBA programme you can opt for Private B-Schools like IIPM, LPU, Skyline Business, Asia Pacific etc.
