I can totally understand your concern and would request Shrey Mathur to share his views.
As for my advice, I would suggest you to go for an internship in a good production house or an AD agency to gain necessary and much needed industry experience and afterwards you can apply for a PG in Advertising.
In Mumbai you can apply for XIC and outside Mumbai, you can try for SIMC, MICA, IIMC etc. For the list of more institutes, refer to the below link

Hi,
If you are interested in Mass Media, then you should definitely go for it. Most of the reputed institutes offer a PG in Media and admissions are done on the basis of an entrance exam. Some of the institutes that you should try are MICA, IIMC, XIC, JAMIA, SIMC etc. For the list of more institutes refer to the below link

Also, as a friend, I would say that changing from one stream to another at this stage can be challenging as you might have to start from the scratch! So if you are really interested in Mass Comm, only then you should go for it.

The Delhi University conducts the Common Aptitude Test for English under the Department of English for the selection of the candidates for the graduation level programs (BA) (Hons) in the subject area of English.
Eligibility:-
The candidates should have scored at least 60% of marks in the 12th class mainly in the subject of English. The candidates should also score 60% of marks in the best four subjects.
