The BMS Mechanical Engineering Department offers advanced instruction and research opportunities in a variety of areas of current interest. It offers programs like (B.E.)UG degree, (M.Tech)PG in specialized courses and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
The mechanical branch is pretty big with appropriate required labs and workshops.
This allows the students to participate actively in the learning process and also provide many opportunities to be involved in design competitions, projects, and research. The mechanical engineering program at BMS has been designed to take benefits of the unique and outstanding education. The CET ranks has to be nearly around 2000 to 4000.Undergraduate students can choose from a large list of available courses from the college.
The Department has organised many Real time projects and has won national level awards.
Regarding placements: Placement of Mechanical Department is comfortable as the companies which attend the college are core companies, and people do get placed in these companies ( Bosch ,L &T ,Toyota ,Schneider and few more) though the pay is abysmal compared to IT courses .
I can assure you that BMS mechanical engineering is considered to be one of the best.

B.Arch is a 5-year course divided into 10 semesters. This course is a COA recognised professional qualification. Within this framework, the students receive information on design thinking and development, competence development, engineering knowledge, individual and team work. ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must have completed 50% of their undergraduate degree (any degree) (3 years) from central or state government.
