The NorthCap University continues to be the leader amongst the private universities in Delhi & Haryana in the NIRF ranking, conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for the year 2019, the result of which was released by the Hon'ble President of India on 08 April 2019. The University has been ranked 117 in the Engineering category and rank band of 151-200 in the University category in All India NIRF ranking survey 2019 in which 970 Institutions participated. The NorthCap University, Gurugram has been ranked second amongst the cleanest Higher Educational Institutions in the Country in the University (Non Residential) Category. 6200 institutions of Higher Education across the country participated in the Rankings out of which 51 institutions were given the award. Courses:-
1. BA : The Bachelor of Art includes the study of humanities, social and cultural studies, languages and music. BA Specialization courses are also available like BA Psychology, BA History, BA Archaeology, BA Economics, BA Journalism and Mass Communication, BA English, BA Hindi, BA Malayalam, BA. In other languages (state wise), BA Sociology, BA Politics, BA Geography, BA Indian Culture, BA Social Work, BA Physical Education etc. Duration: 3 years
2. BFA Bachelor of Fine Arts. It includes- Painting, Sculpting, Music, Dance, Photography etc. Duration: 3 years
3. Journalism and Mass Communication: Now a days an immense growth is not only seen in the traditional field of media like print and electronic but also in online media. So, Mass Communication professionals are in demand these days! Some of the subjects taught include Film Studies, Client Servicing, Radio & Television Production, Ad Film-making etc. Duration: Degree: 3 years, Diploma/Certificate Course: 1-2 years.
4. Hotel Management: With tourism sector of India going through a good phase, the Hospitality sector is doing well. It trains students to take on managerial responsibilities in hotels. Guest Service Management, Housekeeping Management, Kitchen Management, Communication Fundamentals, Hotel Engineering etc. are some of the subjects taught under this course. Duration: Degree: 3 years, Diploma: 1-2 years.
5. BA : Bachelor of Business Administration. While studying BBA you will be exposed to subjects like Business Statistics, Marketing, Business Laws, Human Resource Management etc. Duration: 3 years
6. Fashion Designing: In this course, students are introduced to subjects that deal with Elements of Textiles, Pattern Making, Fashion Studies, Design Management, Fashion Forecasting etc. Duration: 4 years
7. Retail and Fashion Merchandise: Most design colleges have this course available for students. This course, as the name suggests, focuses on merchandising, marketing and selling of products. Garment manufacturing technology, import & export procedures, retail management etc. Are some of the subjects taught in this course. Duration: 4 years
8. Integrated Law course: BA LLB and BS L LLB are courses available to students across law colleges in the country. Students are given exposure to a number of legislations and are also given the opportunity to participate in moot courts. Duration: 5years.
