It is a very tricky question. Basically both technologyies r used 2 develop enterprise solutions, thr r 2 main factors of choosing one of these two. one is d learning curve and othr is d payscale. Java has highly paid jobs but tis has a longer learning curve as compared to .Net. On the other hand , C+,.Net and Java are almost d same in syntex and behaviour. If i m given this situation, i wld go 4 Java. Java is no doubt difficult as compared to .Net, but Java has highly paid jobs. If you know to program in Java, then you will have no troubl at all when shifting towards .Net, it will be like a piece of cake :))

HI Karthik, it also matters from which university you have completed BE from and how much you score in GRE. SOP and LORs also play an important role in application. The scores may be low but try to focus on other details of the documents required for admission.
There are 2 intakes in a yearSep/Oct and MArch/April. The application and admission process takes about 9 months so youneed to plan accordingly. Thedeadline for Sep/Oct intake is in Jan and for March /Aprilintake is in July. Hence, youwill need to make an early application.
Once the University receives your application they may takeabout 3-4 months to inform youof the decision. N
