No, they can't take your 12th or 10th mark-sheet they just say you to take all these original documents so that they can verify that the certificate and marks mentioned by you at the time of applying is correct or not.

There are following major options available for you after becoming an engineer:
(a) Job: BE is sufficient qualification to start your career. Your first option to get job is job in campus placement. It is challenging to get job if you do not get job in campus placement. If you do not get selected in campus interview, then you can look for jobs through job portals, application against advertisement, job consultants, and referral from friends and relatives etc. You can appear in GATE to seek job in Public sector organisation. You can appear fr competitive examination such as Indian Engineering services, Civil Services, PO etc.
