Hi,
SAP has various levels of training and around 250 different training modules so how much time it will take to complete will depend on your level & the module you choose. Moreover it will also differ from Institute to Institute, if you choose SAP authorized training centre (which is advisable) you probably will find the same course curriculum
Although the SAP course fee is at higher side but it will differ from Institute to Institute so, you need to directly get in touch with Institute you opt to get training from. However, SAP certification would cost you somewhere around 25,000.

Its is late then never. You are just 28. If you feel software development is right choice for your career progression, then you may switch. Its not all that late. However, please note that doing graduation like BCA will be a good option, if you could do self-disciplined studies. Its always better to opt for a contact based part time program.

My dear Friend MCSE and CCNA is good to start with International Certifications. Through MCSE u can opt the Server Side OS Knowledge and through CCNA u will get (WAN) Networking Knowledge. Apart from this I would like to suggest your that Now a days 90-95% Servers are running on Linux type of OS not on Microsoft. So if u choose RHCE as an Server side OS will give u more mileage that MCSE. Linux is highly in demand now a days and there are lots of job opportunity is there as RHCE Jobs.
