Every field has its own advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the person, what he/she wants to pursue. In which field he/she is interested.
The top engineering fields, which we can say are evergreen field are CSE, civil engineering, mechanical engineering.
This fields will be there forever, no stream can replace them.
It also depends on the availability, placement, etc.
In India, CSE has very good opportunities. Mechanical engineering is applicable everywhere you go. Even civil engineering is good too but because of the competition, it becomes slightly difficult to work in.

Yes, most of the colleges have their registration forms, which are needed to be filled to appear in their GD/PI process. But, before applying to any college just check the eligibility criteria, cutoff required and then apply.

When it is a matter of choosing a career in the field of civil engineering or architecture, one has to know the basic differences between the two which includes the difference of working environments, career scope, core subjects and future prospects in these two fields. Though these fields are similar in many aspects but there are differences which makes them unique and individual fields.
The nature of civil engineering is more mathematical and thus detailed structural designs, structural analysis, construction and maintenance is the responsibility of a civil engineer.

To be eligible for admissions, you must take the SAT, SAT subject test and the TOEFL. Numbers alone will not get you through MIT, so in addition to high academic standing, you must have excellent extra-curricular activities attached to your profile, high-level project work, research interest and so on. Visit the MIT website and go through the admission requirements page and see what they look for in a candidate and prepare accordingly.
