The National Testing Agency has changed the exam pattern for the JEE Main 2020.
1. Up until now, the JEE examination was being conducted by the CBSE. However, from this year onwards the National Testing Agency will be conducting the exam. While the examination was previously conducted once a year, from JEE 2020, they will be held twice a year. In January and then April.
3. Students will now be allowed to appear for either one or both the sessions, and only their best score will be considered final.
4. The number of questions to be asked in the exam has been reduced from 30 to 25, and out of the 25 questions, 20 will be multiple-choice, and 5 will be numerical questions.
5. Mathematics, physics and chemistry will be given equal weightage. Each question will be for four marks and for objective type questions, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer while for numerical-type questions, there will be no negative marking.
6. While mathematics and aptitude papers will remain common to B. Planning and B.Arch aspirants, there will be no drawing paper for B. Planning aspirants and candidates instead will have to take a paper of 25 multiple choice question on planning.
7. The drawing test for B.Arch which is now for 100 marks, used to have three questions earlier. Henceforth, it will have only two questions. The B.Arch paper will carry 77 questions instead of 81.

Employment in the utilities and construction sectors has also increased since June 2015.

As a popular study programme across Canada, it is possible to study Computer Science and related programs at a wide range of Ontario institutions. Macleans ranks University of Toronto best in Canada for Computer Science, with the University of Waterloo tied for second place. Queens University is also in the top 10. Like the University of Waterloo, Wilfred Laurier University also benefits from its location in Ontarios tech triangle (the name given to the Waterloo region, including the cities of Cambridge and Kitchener) and offers highly regarded computer technology programs. Many Ontario colleges offer computer technology programs with co-op opportunities. Mohawk, Sheridan, and Fanshawe colleges all have reputable programs. Many colleges including Niagara and Seneca also offer Bachelor degrees in computer technology-related fields.

As a popular programme across Canada, it is possible to study Engineering in many Ontario universities and colleges. According to Macleans magazine, five of the top 10 Canadian universities for Engineering are in Ontario: University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, University of Ottawa, Queens University, and McMaster University. Waterloo has Canadas the largest Engineering programme, and is particularly known for Software Engineering. Engineering programs are also available at many other Ontario universities with strong reputations. Engineering is a popular programme at colleges as well. Algonquin, Centennial, Conestoga, Georgian, Humber, Sheridan, and Niagara colleges, among others, all offer a wide range of programmes.
