The admission committee decides your admission on overall criteria of your previous academic performance, work experience, performance in design test, and performance in interview, portfolio and CEED scores, so yes, your scores in class 12th do matter. However, they consider the overall score of your application and if you do well in other areas you may still have a chance.

You have to excel in your academics and be an all-rounder. MIT is place of innovators so build your profile accordingly. Take part in high end project works and show you talented you are. Sports, voluntary work, etc. are also required. You must take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL as a part of the application process. You must also visit the MIT website and get to know the student profiles so that you can prepare accordingly.

Depending on G.K. books. I may not recommend specific book or resources, but these are essential for your study programme. You have to make a strategic decision yourself. I will recommend you to look at the structure of the G.K. books before you start using it. Within its structure is encoded the teaching methodology by the author. You have to work with a teaching methodology that syncs well with your learning methodology.

In order to pursue full-time MBA or PGDM program you need:
-Graduation in any field with at least 50% aggregate marks to be eligible to apply.
