If the technical field interests you more, then MCA is a better choice, particularly if you would like to have a career in software development or databases etc.
However if you are interested in pursuing management as a career, then an MBA in IT or HR or Operations might be good to evaluate.

Btech (Hons) is, ofcourse far better than normal B.Tech. First of all, all the subjects that u study in Btech will have to study in an advance mode in B.Tech (Hons) plus Btech (Hons) will study an engineering subject in its full depth as a specialization. The student will have the freedom to select this specialization. But remember that very few colleges are conducting B.Tech hons. Not very clear with your requirement. However, to help you, I can say that forms of P.G.C.E.T releases somewhere in end of May or beginning of June and the last date last date for submission of Demand Drafts to obtain brochure cum application form is towards end of June.
Last date for submission of filled application form is in mid July and the examination is held in the first week of August.
