No it is not important. IIMs and universities that are running MBA courses are UGC approved and institutes that are UGC approved don't need AICTE approval. So, you can easily go for MBA from any IIM or university. The only thing is for IIM you need to give CAT/ MAT test and for other universities you can take admission on the basis of CAT/ MAT/ XAT etc as well as their own tests.
Good luck.

Hi Randheer, we select candidates on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/GMAT score, academic qualification, experience and other academic or professional achievements. We prefer 50% in graduation as per AICTE. Applicants are short-listed for Aptitude Session and Personal Interview which are conducted at various cities, including our own campus in New Delhi. Also, we appraise candidates from an overall perspective as we assign greater weightage to the overall candidacy of the student. You can download the form from Institute's website www.fiib.edu.in and must attach the Demand Draft of Rs 1,050 made in favour of 'Fortune Institute of In

For MBA go for a university instead of some institute like this. You have one of the world's best university "Punjab university" in Chandigarh. Other than this you have other good universities around like Chitkara, Lovely, Chandigarh University etc. Check the eligibility criteria for all of them and apply for admission.
Good luck.

Arpit the counselling is going to start somewhere in July but if you want you can try for admission in any private university on the basis of your JEE score. All of them offer admission on the basis of that also without ccb counselling too. This allows you to take admission in the branch of your choice. Another thing is some of the private universities also offer scholarships to students on the basis of JEE score.
Good luck.
