Both are good because both are providing 100% placement to students, but Jaipur has a little bit of advantage in infrastructure. The admission process of all government IHMs has been closed for this year. You could get easily get admission in both of the institutes. The opening and closing ranks of both institutes are under:
1. IHM Jaipur's OR & CR are 84 & 4462.
2. IHM Ahmadabad's OR & CR are 370 & 657.

You need to have scored a minimum of 75% in your board exams. Apart from that, you need to either qualify KVPY-SA or SX with a rank as good as 250. The channel through JEE Mains/Advanced is quite difficult as they have extremely high cut-offs there around 250 rank which is very difficult to get as compared to KVPY.

Civil Engineering has wider scope in comparison to B Pharma. Indian Government both central and states are putting lot of money on Infrastructure building. Therefore, for next decade requirements of Civil Engineering graduates will remain very high.
