Hi Adrita,
IIM Bangalore as such does not have any minimum cutoff percentage in class 10th, 12th or Bachelors, which you need to clear. However, it assigns a weight of 50% (20% for 10th, 10% for 12th and 20% for bachelors score) and thus, it would be difficult to get a call from IIM Bangalore (refer to http://www.iimb.ac.in/sites/default/files/iimb-pgp-admission-process.pdf). IIM Ahmedabad on the other hand has a minimum cutoff percentage which is set at 80 percentile score. There is always a university affiliated with the course, however, there are two kinds of universities.
1. Autonomous:
It provides its own degree and it is not dependent upon any body.
2. Affiliated:
Provides a degree of a specific university with which it is affiliated.
It is to be noted that both of them are recognized by a board in India, it's UGC, but in abroad it depends.

Dear Rhea,
If you're interested to pursue hotel management then my suggestion is that don't do it through distance. It is just wasting money. Go for Christ University, Banglore, IHM-Chennai, Banglore, Nagpur or SRM-Chennai or NICHMS. You need to clear the entrance exam conducted by these collges.

Thats a myth, any one in India can take CET there are seats reserved for maharashtra and non maharashtra students. Infact there are 12 centres outside maharashtra where students can give then exam.
