Firstly, every university must be approved by UGC. Now, if your course is not approved by AICTE, then it may or may not create some problems for you in future. If you are studying in a deemed university or in CAMPUS of the university (not in its affiliated colleges) approved by UGC, then even if your course is not approved by AICTE, it will not create any problem. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. They might apply for approval from AICTE just to add another feather to their cap. Your query is a little cryptic one. If you had written in details, it would have been better answered then. Of course, I will still try to answer, as the way I have understood your query. Perhaps what you are saying is that, after completing your 3 years of study in a Polytechnic College doing Diploma in mechanical engineering you are no more interested in further studies, but is looking for jobs.
