However, I believe that a student would have a provision to change the exam center given that the authorities are informed well in time. You can definitely seek lateral entry into Government Engineering College after completion of your Diploma. Normally in any state the admissions are based on either the marks obtained in Diploma or an entrance exam conducted by the state.
