there amy be some barrier in age for teacher training courses like for JBT/ETE maximum age limit is 24 yrs of as per NCTE
for B.Ed some of the universities have put age limit
BUt for B.Ed distance mode there is no age limit

I am quoting text from FAQs section of PGDBM course on NLDIMSR website
6. What is the Eligibility Criteria for these courses ?
A candidates must have passed a Three Years Bachelor's degree examination in any faculty
of Mumbai University or an examination recognized by Mumbai University as equivalent
threto.
And candidate must have appeared for Maharashtra CET – Feb 2012 or CAT Test of Nov
2011.
7. IS THERE ANY CUT-OFF ?
There is no cut-off.
But the last person to convert call last year had 65 percentile.

After completion of your MCA , Its advisable that You should prepare for GATE and score well in GATE . Then you can pursue Mtech and later Phd . I would suggest score well in GATE and Join any of the premier institute like IIsc or IIT . Research needs Infrastructure and efficient Guidance , an interest in research can be followed well if you are pursuing it any of the prestigious Institutions .
