TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is actually not an exam but a single window counselling under Anna University. Your HSC score, especially your aggregate in PCM out of 200, is used for admissions.

Keep in mind that both the courses have nearby same quality and belong to the same sector because bioinformatics is the combination of both information technology and biotechnology and biotechnology is the combination of both biology and chemistry.
