First of all you should be able to bear the strain of preparing for this exam. You should start preparing for mains along with prelims. Read the text fully and note important things separately so that you may not have to go through the whole text again. This would save your time and energy. General Studies (GS) cover content from 10 + 2 books of NCERT. If you have prepared economy for your Prelims, doing it for the mains must not be difficult. Statistical analysis has to be practiced with the help of previous years' solved questions. You must regularly read national daily, India Yearbook (Publication Division) relevant NCERT books and a good magazine. For mains there are 4 optional subjects .For choosing the optional subject you can select the one in which you have graduated. Choose the optional subjects based on the availability of study material, your personal interest, and expertise and success rate. Give full concentration to all the nine subjects. Keep a list of formulae for ready reference. Try to solve previous years question paper and appear for the test series.

The media industry always prefers young and talented youth which can deliver their in reporting exclusive, authentic and valid reports. Even a Diploma in Mass Communication/Journalism or Diploma in News Anchoring would do.
2. Radio jockeying does not require you to have very high qualifications. To become a successful radio jockey, you need to have strong linguistic skills. You should have the ability to grab attention when you speak. Having the right attitude is compulsory. You need to be observant and be aware of your surroundings.

-After completing MS in Chemical Engineering you have good job opportunities in manufacturing and service industries such as food, materials, specialty chemicals, plastics, power production, biotechnology, tyre manufacturing, nanotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, chemical engineering designs, nuclear energy, materials science, development of new sources of energy and even medicine.
-You may opt to work in laboratories and universities as a professor.
-If you are interested in government jobs you need to clear Engineering Service examinations conducted by UPSC.
-You may even get employed in defense establishment, healthcare related research projects, atomic power plants, environment regulation, recycling department and power conservation projects.

Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, to give you a brief idea,
-The average package for fresher will be Rs. 15,000 per month.
-The package for Diploma holders varies from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000 per month.
-Senior engineers earn between Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 per month.
