In short : Three phase currents flowing within the stator create a rotating magnetic field which induces a current, and consequent magnetic field in the rotor. Rotor torque is developed as the rotor slips a little behind the rotating stator field. Unlike single phase motors, polyphase induction motors are self-starting.

In a DC motor, supply is needed to be given for the stator winding as well as the rotor winding. But in an induction motor only the stator winding is fed with an AC supply.

Hello prashant, see u r looking that avg. Salary is 4 lakhs but its also true that students who placed in international companies they got more then 12 lakhs of package. So it all will be depend on your skills, how u will crack companies gd interview round. So don't worry for placement and package, college will give u much more opportunity to sit in different good companies.
