There are plenty of professional courses available for commerce students to choose from. For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do is go for B.Com then M.Com and then maybe Ph.D. or professor. There's also an option to go for CA CS CMA and at times LL.B. The mainstay of commerce students for years now. One also has the option of lesser-known courses like FRM, CFA CPA and actuary among others. Various certification courses conducted are certified risk manager, courses on the stock market by NSE/BSE, etc. MBA is a post graduation option open to all. There's an option of going for government jobs and preparing for that. Finally, one has the option of growing and working upon there passion and then go on with it as a full-time career.

Hi Karan, The question paper will have 5 parts with the following topics:
PART 1. DATA INTERPRETATION: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the candidates ability to pick out critically the data and apply the data to business decisions from given typical business situations. 1. Data Interpretation based on text, Data Interpretation based on graphs and tables. 2. Graphs can be Column graphs, Bar Graphs, Line charts, Pie chart, Graphs representing Area, Venn Diagram, etc. PART 2. QUANTITATIVE: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems of graduate level including those learnt in plus two or equivalent level. 1. Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, In equations, Algebra and Profit & Loss2. Averages, Percentages, Partnership & Time Speed Distance, Work and time3. Probability, Permutations & Combinations
PART 3. REASONING: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the candidates skill on Logical reasoning
1. Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption Premise Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, identifying valid inferences, identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and Conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements.
2. Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc. PART 4: ENGLISH: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the skill of the candidate on written English with questions on errors in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like.
1. Comprehension of passage
2. Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences
3. Sentence Correction, Sentence completion, Sentence Correction, odd man out, idioms, one word substitution, Different usage of same word etc. PART 5: GK/CA/BA: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the candidates skill on General knowledge, current affairs and Business Affairs
1. Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events
2. Famous award and prizes
3. Science, History, Geography, International organizations
4. Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics, etc.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters Degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. Career opportunities after Qualifying UGC NET:
After Qualifying National Eligibility Test NET enables a person to be eligible to apply for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges located anywhere across India. Qualifying National Eligibility Test also makes one eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) but the maximum age limit to apply for fellowship is 28 years. Candidate will be considered for the position of lecturer in the same discipline as the chosen subject in UGC NET at Universities and Colleges of India after qualifying the test. Regards.
