I can't really comment on the chances. We have had lower MH-CET scores getting admissions in the past. But everything depends on the scores the other Roman Catholic students that enroll for admission. However, you can try through your CMAT scores as well. The chances are good enough. So try and call up the college, and they will schedule an interview with you. There have been instances where a Catholic minority student with 65 percentile has secured admission. Railways is under central Government in India. Railways hires Class I engineers through Indian Engineering Services exam. You can join Railways Mechanical branch and will then may have opportunities to work in Government owned engine manufacturing unit in Varanasi UP and Chitranjan WB. You can also appear for class II and below technical services openings of Junior Engineer for which railways conducts its own examination through Railway Recruitment Board. Eligibility criterion for Metro train operator is three years Engineering Diploma
in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent or BSC Hons in (Physics/Chemistry/Maths) or BSc(Physics/Chemistry/Maths) from a Govt recognized University/Institute. Therefore, you are not eligible for the role of Metro team operator. You are eligible for drivers role with Indian Railways. Railways hires drivers by exam conducted by Railway Recruitment Boards.

I will suggedt that you drop a year and prepare for competitive exams again. Devoting one full year for competitive exam preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for competitive exams. It will allow you take mock up test and help to score good ranking in competitive exams. Everyone praises his or her institution, the disadvantages of our institutions one may say are :-
The college campus is not too big.
The hostel food will not be that good.
You may not get other sports or cultural activities other than what may sometimes in the college, for that you would have to look on your own, but college wont restrict you for that, that is the better part.
