Admission to the course is mostly entrance exam based. KEAM, EAMCET are a few entrance exams conducted for admission to the course. There are 42 State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), 1 Central Agricultural University (CAU), 5 Deemed Universities (DUs) and 4 general Central Universities with Agriculture faculty in India. These institutions provide admission at UG level in 11 disciplines and about 15,000 students get enrolled every year. B.Tech engineering is a good branch with bets placements. I am afraid that in Tamil Nadu you would have to give TANCET for admission in universities of repute like ANNA, Christ etc. There are equally good universities offering good academics and placements like LPU which has received the award for best placements for three consecutive years. Similarly SRM too is going great. Institutions are going for many strategies to make their students more enterprising. Browse through some good sites like LPU, SRM, NALSAR etc. and check the academic excellence offered. Also check the scholarship slabs.
