Optometry course is a Diploma-level Optometric course. It covers topics such as psychology, patient management and optometric retail management. You will also do a research project. These will give you the skills you need to better manage patients, run a retail business or embark on a career based in research. Course enables them to explore opportunities in fields other than health services. Students also get to learn first-hand from industry experts through off-campus classes and internships. The course is career orienting in nature that opens many jobs in medical areas after its successful completion along with further study options.

For B.Sc. Honors course, career prospects in terms of job opportunities depend on the specialisation a student opts for. For instance, students with a degree in B.Sc. (Honours) Physics can apply for a job as a financial analyst, lab technician, etc. Whereas students with a degree in B.Sc. In many cases, when the allopathic system becomes a failure with a particular disease and surrenders, the Ayurvedic medicine does the magical effect to rejuvenate the illness or the patient.
Job opportunities also exist in the government sector. One can get a job in a government Ayurveda hospital as an Ayurvedic pharmacist.
After the completion of this course, candidates also have the opportunity to open their own retail shop of Ayurveda medicines. Teaching field is also open for BAMS graduates. They can find employment in private and government Ayurveda institutes.

B.Sc. Optometry is a full-time 3-year undergraduate course, divided into six semesters, of six months each. It essentially involves an advanced study of the clinical skills involved in professionally measuring eyesight, prescribing corrective lenses, and detecting eye diseases.
The minimum eligibility to pursue this course is 45% marks in class 12th. You can apply online on the institute's website with the required information.
