The most important thing which you should keep in mind while selecting your career stream is your own interests and career aspiration. In case you have interest in Automobile Engineering you should opt for Automobile, however, Mechanical is a core field which is interrelated to various other branches like Computer, Electronics, and Aerospace etc. and even if you opt for Mechanical Engineering you can always move to Automobile Engineering later at Masters Level or can get jobs in Automoble industry as well.

Robotics is primarily cover three areas one is Mechanical, second Electronics & Electrical and Last Computer Engineering, so as you are in Computer Science Engineering, you can definitely get into Robotics but only that part of Robotics which is related to programming and coding getting into hard core Robotics.

As this would be the first batch of IPG Programme not much guidance could be given on the content of the apptitutde test and the method of preparation. However, as per IIM Indore it would be one hour test the level of which would be equivalent to Secondry School and will contain sections on written & verbal ability, General Awareness and analytical ability. The best way to prepare for this test would be that you get thorough with your NCERT material of 9th till 12th and for general awareness read newspaper and listen to English news channels on daily basis apart from this read GK magazines like Compition Success Review etc.
