Hi Punitha, since you are already in the UK it will be easier for you to find out about the exams and the status.
As of now all I can tell you is international students are required to clear MJDS exam before they can practise or study dentistry in the UK. While studying the visa is a student visa. But you are on a dependant visa so you may or may not be required to change the status. But an intimation to the British High Commission will be mandatory and then you will be informed if and what you need to do about your visa.
If you like this answer mark it as the best answer or rate it thumbs up. Feel free to post new queries if any.

no, there are vast differences. for example, mechanics is a part of curriculum in IITs, but in NIT Trichy, we were taught something about lasers and other devices in physics. likewise, there are more variations.

Hi Suvitha, you have good marks you can apply for admission. As suggested by Surya, apply earlier and as suggested by Mahesh apply directly.
The work ex part although not mandatory will be preferred. So you will be competing with applicants who have work ex. If you do not have work ex then you will need to provide documents that will give you an edge over these applicants.
Get good LORs and write a good SOP.
