Nothing is better than IIMs & ISB. But getting admission in these colleges is not easy it requires 99.95%ile in CAT. To get on the safer side in IIMs. And for ISB, Hyderabad, GMAT 750+ score with work experience. FMS-Delhi is the third option but ROI is greater than all. SPJIMR, XLRI, NIT, NITIE and ICFAI are some of the top notch colleges.

Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from a renowned college will any day be more valuable than an MBA from an average university, and vice-versa.
