Minimum Requirements
Applicants to both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree programs must complete an undergraduate degree equivalent to a four-year program at the University of Toronto with a standing equivalent of at least B+ in the final year of study. Preference will be given to applicants who have studied computer science or a closely related discipline.
Applicants whose primary language is not English and who graduated from a university where the language of instruction and examination is not English must provide proof of English language facility. The required minimum scores are listed on the School of Graduate Studies web site. Please consult that web page for details.
Applicants from outside Canada are encouraged to submit scores from the GRE General Test, and are encouraged to also submit scores from the GRE Subject Test in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

If you want to become a fluent English speaker you should take into consideration four skills, which are reading, listening, speaking, and writing.
The most important thing you must bear in mind is that reading and listening are inputs whereas speaking and writing are outputs. There are some ways that you can do so, which I will try to summarize.
Read as much as you can. But your reading must be active. It means that you must think about the structure,no need that you stick to grammar structures, To begin reading, I recommend the Penguin Readers books. They are classified by level of difficulty.
As for listening, there are two options:Aside from reading, you can listen every day for about 30 minutes.
You can only concentrate on your reading and become skillful at your reading, then you can catch up on your listening. because when you are skillful and native-like at reading, your listening skill grows automatically. Since you have lots of inputs in your mind, you can easily guess what the speaker is going to say. This never means that you should not practice listening.

Well it seems you are very much career oriented. First of all do not ponder over it much. You have ample fields to try. But I would suggest you to take the one wherein you possess keen interest and passion.
I personally believe what matters is you should be happy. If you'll take something that is not your cup of tea, it would eventually result in disaster. Take help from your faculty in school who would help your parents understand the point.
You can analyze the various opportunities available and select the right path based on your personal criteria which should include:
*The interest and aptitude towards the subject
*Interest to get a job
*The future Demand for the particular program
