Delhi Technical University (DTU) will offer admissions to candidates in engineering undergrad courses such as B.E/B.Tech for session 2015-16 on the basis of JEE Main 2015 scores and ranking. For participation, candidates have to attempt JEE 2015 and obtain a valid score. This score shall be considered by the counselling committee to admit candidates. The process of DTU 2015 Admissions will be started from June 2015. There shall be a total of 6 rounds till the admission process. DTU 2015 Selection Process
Candidates shall be selected for admission on the basis of JEE Main 2015 scores and ranking. Better the marks in JEE, higher is the possibility of admission in the desired course. Based on the scores, screening of the candidates shall be done thru a cutoff score. The candidates who score marks more than the cutoff will be included in the merit list of DTU. These candidates will be given the chance to mark options of colleges and courses in the decreasing order of priority. Further, allotment shall be made accordingly with candidate with highest marks getting top preference and so on.
DTU 2015 Eligibility:
Candidates must attempt JEE Main 2015 and obtain a valid score and ranking.
All India Rank of the candidates will be calculated using JEE Main 2015 marks and class XII marks.
60% weightage shall be given to the JEE 2015 marks and 40% marks will be given to class XII marks.
Normalization method will be applied to calculate the score.
Name of the candidate must have appeared in JEE merit list, as issued by CBSE.
Candidate must have secured at least 60% (for General category), 55% (for CW/PD category) or 50% (for SC/ST) category in their last qualifying exam.
Age of the candidate must be in between 17 and 25 years on date 1 October 2015.
It is necessary to clear the last qualifying exam with English as core or elective subject.

IIT-JEE (Advanced) syllabus:
The JEE (Advance) syllabus is the entire CBSE Board syllabus minus a few topics. For Mathematics, the topics Not Covered in JEE (Advanced) are Mathematical Induction, Statistics, Linear Inequality and Mathematical Reasoning. Similarly, In Physics, the topics Not to be covered are Magnetism & Matter, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Devices (Solids and Semiconductors), and Principles of Communication Systems.
Different sections in IIT-JEE (Advanced) exam
It is expected that the JEE (Advanced) will be on the same lines as that of the IIT-JEE that was being conducted in past couple of years. The pattern of exam varies every year. The different sections that have appeared in previously held JEE papers are:
Single correct type MCQs
Multiple Answer correct type MCQs
Assertion–Reason based questions
Linked comprehension based MCQs with one passage followed by 2 to 3 questions
Integer answer type questions with numeric answer ranging between 0 – 9
Matrix match type questions with two columns listing different entries that are required to be matched with each other
You can expect any of the above variety in different sections.
General preparation strategy
The general preparation strategy for JEE (Advanced) is to build a strong foundations of concepts and developing skills to tackle numerical problems, that need calculations as well as a good aptitude. For that matter, one needs to read a good amount of theory pertaining to each topic, test one self’s understanding of the theory by solving short answer type and Assertion reason based questions. Then a student needs to solve a good number of subjective type problems. This would certainly help in developing even deeper understanding of the subject. Finally, a student must practice a good number of MCQs to build up speed and accuracy.
