The choice of the engineering branch depends on your interest.
Below mentioned are the reasons:
1. Market conditions vary every 6 months to 1 year. Engineering is a 4 year course. There is a high chance that the field which looks the most promising at the time of taking admission might not be good when you complete engineering.
2. Engineering mostly involves practical skills rather than theoretical knowledge. If you choose a stream based on market trends, chances are that you might not be able to understand the subject properly. This may result in lesser grades and impact on practical skills.

Your percentage is not bad but it is not enough to get a seat at SASTRA University. You would have some chances if you have a score like 50/360 in JEE Mains.
Try in the counselling. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then you may get a seat.
