The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration and the total marks will be 100.
Part A will be a 60 minute test with multiple choice questions on current affairs, social awareness and logical and analytical reasoning, carrying 60 marks.
Part B will be a written test with a set of descriptive questions in English. The candidate is expected to write two short answers in 30 minutes carrying 40 marks. It is compulsory for the candidates to attempt both parts.

Most of the seats are reserved for Tamil Nadu students, I can say around 65-70% of the seats are for Tamil Nadu students who wish to pursue B.Tech in SASTRA.

Hi Sheyra,
I haven't seen anything like this in any of the university's criteria; "Honours degree is mandatory". For abroad, I don't think Honours degree is required. Because many of the college (Yale, Princeton etc.). Do accepts student from all backgrounds. However you need to check the duration of graduation. University like Harvard, Stanford requires you to have 4 years of graduation for MBA or MS programme. Hope this helps.

BA is good and helpful. If you want to clear exams of civil services, IAS, law, because it gives you a combination of different subjects like history and eco, psychology and English, economics and geography etc. After B.Sc, you can do M.Sc and Ph.D. After B.Sc you can go for teaching, lecturing, go for researches.
