Hi Paras,
The strategy for the GA portion is:
Current Affairs: The Hindu Newspaper + Daily current affairs through any good online website (bankers adda, Mrunal, Insight, etc.). Also, focus on business, sports, international, national, etc. news
Static GK: A basic knowledge of History, Geography and Sciences will suffice.Try to focus more on Indian history. The world history questions are rarely asked. In geography, the emphasis should be laid on world and Indian geography. For science, please focus more on the day to day general science questions. Also, give due weightage to Inventors, discoveries and past Nobel prize winners etc.

1800 is a decent rank. You'll be able to choose from a handful of courses like electronics and instrumentation engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, bio informatics and aerospace engineering.
This does not include the five years integrated M.Tech program. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.

Unlike the engineering counterpart, attendance here is not taken lightly. 75% attendance is absolutely needed, under any condition. There have been cases where students have been debarred even at 74%, so basically its strict out here and you need to attend religiously. Only a dress code is compulsory, and no other specific disciplinary rules., The average salary the students get is around 3.5 Lakh rupees while the highest package a student got offered was 5.25 Lakh rupees. The placements for GBS and GIMT are not as good as GCET; still many students do manage to get jobs in the campus placements.

Eligibility requirements for part-time MBA programs are quite similar to the requirements seen in full time MBA programs. Just that these programs are designed for working professionals with at least two years of work experience.
Candidates will need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. They would also need GMAT or other entrance exam scores, essays, recommendation letters, a resume, and a personal statement.
However, in many colleges that offer direct admission, aspirants will not be required to submit GMAT or other entrance test scores.
