As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPU NEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session. LPUs Hotel Management and Tourism Discipline prepares the students through an industry-endorsed curriculum and intensive service-oriented practicals with industry exposure in excellent infrastructure. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. The School trains its students in the campus hotel named University Hotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchens and bakeries are equipped to enable students to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gadgets. We have four training restaurants to teach students about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. LPU labs are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. LPU Hotel Management and Tourism Discipline is the gamut of research activities that make it a unique academic environment that stimulates creativity and critical thinking and provides impetus to recruiting, supporting, and developing highly-skilled motivated researchers. It is worth noticing that to motivate students, LPU keeps on organising different workshops & events and also invites top personalities from the industry. The maximum salary the LPU students got this year is Rs 23 Lacs per annum. The average salary is over 3.6 LPA. If you have interest in any of these things, chemical engineering will be better. Biotechnology involves studies related to living organisms, etc. It involves testing new medicines in animals, gene and DNA studies, etc. Biotech is more of Science rather than engineering. Maths is relatively less in Biotech. Finally, it's based on what you love to do. Pursue what you like rather than finding out which field has better opportunities. I've experience in end-to-end development of a software and I've had the opportunity to handle entire apps from back-end to front-end alone. I used to work for around 12 hours a day during the phases where the pay was too low to survive. Life could be easier in MNCs, but I believe that my experience could pay off at some point of life. I never cared about the name or reputation of the company, but I believe that it gave me some genuine opportunities, which I would have missed if I had chosen some support jobs I was offered in the past.
